Booma coffee - worlds first brand of impact positive coffee

The world's first brand of coffee with a positive impact on the environment and society as a whole.
Environmental impact
We want to measure all negative consequences of growing, harvesting, processing, drying, milling, exporting, transportation, roasting, grinding, and selling coffee. Then start improving every step of the value chain to do less damage. And the damage that is not possible to avoid (we still want those beans roasted, right? ;)) we choose to offset by putting 10% more so that our coffee is not just neutral but positive for the environment.
So, if we:
- Pollute 100 gallons of water (when we wash the beans); we need to clean up 110 gallons of water
- Pollute the air with 100 tons of CO2 (while transporting the coffee overseas); we need to extract 110 tons of CO2 out of the atmosphere
- Cut 100 trees (to make our packaging); we need to plant 110 trees
Social impact
The process of making coffee involves a lot of people starting with farmers and their families, people who harvest and process raw beans, people involved in transportation, exporting, roasting, and finally distributing and selling it. Some of the people involved in the supply chain don’t have the luxury of living in developed countries. For those people growing and processing coffee is their livelihood.
We want to conduct our work in close cooperation with them by making sure that our coffee makes a positive impact on the communities by addressing the most important issues like education, access to clean water, basic sanitation and medications.
